Okatie is located in the South
Carolina LowCountry in Beaufort County. Okatie is a large area located
between the greater Bluffton area, Hardeville and Sun City Hilton Head
on Route 278 and Beaufort, SC on Route 170. Okatie
has been around for many years and is currently undergoing
tremendous development such as housing, hotels, motels, stores and
golf courses. It is a 10 minute drive to the Shopping centers in
Greater Bluffton and a 20 minute drive to the fabulous 12 miles of
Atlantic Ocean beach on Hilton Head Island. Historic Beaufort is
only 15 minutes to the north and it is a 30 minute drive
south to Savannah, Georgia. 12 minutes to the west is I-95 and
Hardeeville. As you can see, Okatie (pronounced O' Ka Tee - not O'
Katy) is in the middle of everything.
